Disappointing Cafe

From the street it looked so good,
Like a fancy greengrocers,
High ceilings, groovy lampshades,
Disguising lightbulbs and hanging from really long chords.
From the street it looked so nice,
Somewhere to get delicious sandwiches,
I don't remember the name at all,
But it was written in a modern font.
Ok, a disappointing cafe,
No way, we're gonna stick around around,
Ok, a disappointing cafe.
We considered sticking around,
First impressions can be wrong,
But when the worker's back was turned,
We turned and ran to another...
Ok, a disappointing cafe,
No way, we're gonna stick around around,
Ok, a disappointing cafe.
Ok, a disappointing cafe,
No way, we're gonna stick around around,
Ok, a disappointing cafe.

Can we agree to agree there's depression, there's genius and there's crazy,
And this new business model has left them feeling sad,
We don't know how they live and we don't care how they function,
Give me your heart on a plate,
And give it to me now.
Thus follows the art famine
Thus follows.
Just like the doctor has bills so does the painter and musician,
Those pricks in film making even deserve financial recognition,
This is the world we've made,
Where we all have to get paid,
You want to gorge yourself,
Well you're living in the golden age.
Thus follows the art famine
Thus follows.
These aren't the kind of people that you'd trust with a new car,
Yet we rely on them, we call them friends, they make us laugh,
Meanwhile we're starving them and we're giving them the fingers,
They're killing themselves, they're giving up,
How long before there's no one left?
Thus follows the art famine
Thus follows the art famine
Thus follows the art famine
Thus follows.

The Middle Ages Ireland
The Middle Ages, a new rock band formed by Anthony Mackey. You may be familiar with Mackey from his work with legendary rockers Large Mound. Or from his two year stint as guitarist in Hot Colossus. What you may not know is that this bio is horribly out of date. The Middle Ages now have a bunch of singles, an album and so many great songs still to come that it's a joke. ... more
